Have you dared to explore your gender?
Have you felt the depth and the breadth of your soul, the unique symphony of your presence in this world?
Have you ever shown up as your full self?
Do you know what that feels like?
We're gendered before we're born, or very shortly thereafter. So much of what happens next depends on that, as well as on how well (or how poorly!) we are able to conform to that gendering. The labels we use for gender and sexuality are relatively recent, and no matter how we tweak and re-define them, they continue to fall short of the nuance and complexity of our human experiences. Choosing to actively explore your gender is choosing yourself - your relationship to your body, your community, and the earth itself - over your place in the order of our current social structures.
Perhaps you have already embarked on a gender journey. Perhaps you've done so more than once! Or perhaps you've never had the space or the structure to take a look at how you show up in the world. Whether you came out as trans 30 years ago or you're 100% sure you're cis - if you want to show up to the world in your authenticity, this class is for you.
In Re-Envisioning Gender, people of all identities and experiences will access the technology of gender exploration. We will center the wisdom of our bodies, our connection to the earth, and our divine capacity to seek and experience joy. We will begin creating our own unique gender presentation, free of labels, so that we may show up in the world in a way that aligns with our values, instead of aligning ourselves to the perceived expectations of others.
This is a guided, 4 week, virtual journey that includes live, weekly zoom calls and 4 workbooks packed with exercises and reflection questions. All calls will be recorded and the materials will be available to you for approximately one year (but can be downloaded as yours to keep!). Meetings will be each Monday in June, 5-7 pm PT. For more details, keep reading, but if you're ready to sign up, scroll down for payment options!
Class Structure
In the first module, we take time to identify and dismantle the assumptions that we and others have made about our bodies, and begin to cultivate our own unique body-knowledge. This knowledge will be fostered through healing our relationship to our bodies, reconnecting to them, and creating space for their wisdom. This cannot be completed in a week, but we will start this process and you will be provided with tools to recommit to it as needed.
In the second module, we will use our growing connection to our bodies to begin fostering our intuitive knowledge of ourselves, our values, and our connection to the earth. We will engage with our intuitive knowing and find the unique contours of it. We will embrace the mystery. Reconnecting to our bodies and our intuitive selves is a vital foundation for building a bespoke gender presentation that aligns with our values. It gives us something to touch into when we feel overwhelmed with pressure to conform.
In the third module, we will begin to connect our wild intuition to values we hold and traits that we admire. We will examine these through the lens of gender, and deconstruct our notions of what is available and unavailable to us based on our real or perceived identity. We get in touch with the traits we embody and, without judgment, examine the distance between how we want to show up and how we are currently showing up.
In the fourth and final module, we take these values and traits and connect them to real world changes. We consider what small steps we can begin taking today that move us even slightly closer to our ideals. We discuss boundaries; how to feel into them, how to communicate them, and how to live with them. We celebrate all that we have done and commit to gender exploration as a toolkit that is available to us at any time.
What You Leave With
After completing Re-Envisioning Gender, you will have a new set of tools for moving through spirals of gender exploration. The point is not to explore your gender, find answers, and be done with it. The point is to engage with gender exploration as a framework and tool for living a more authentic life. Gender exploration allows you to question the assumptions others have put on you or that you have put onto yourself, and to compost that which no longer serves you. In doing so, you make space for a more authentic self to emerge. We will build out the bones of this process together so that you can flesh out your identity more and more over time.

What previous students are saying
You created a safe and thoroughly queer environment where I truly felt seen, heard, and understood - even though my camera was off and I wasn’t saying anything.
— Participant from "Coming Out & Inviting In"
You're a terrific presenter, really thoughtful of attendee needs and I felt really invited to ask questions (and clearly other people did as well bc there were so many).
— Participant in "Is HRT Right for Me?"
Your openness and candidness were very sweet and delightful to witness, and made me feel both comfortable and like it’s okay to not have my whole healing journey figured out, which I often have self-judgment for.
