Stacking CD Baskets

We all have CDs lying around that are no longer useful, so when I looked online to find what crafting could be done with them, I was surprised by the relative lack of ideas. One of the few projects that uses a CD in its original form is this

multi-purpose basket. The result was inspired by something similar that I saw. However, that basket was hand-sewn; mine is done by machine. After I made one, I thought — hey, these would work well stacked on top of one another.

Supplies required (to make 2 stacked baskets with 1 lid):

 3 CDs

 2 fat quarters of fabric

 Polyfil

 Button with shank

 Elastic hair tie
