After several days of rain, the forest has changed completely. The stream overflowed, some trees fell, and the old Lost Path disappeared beneath mud, branches, and water.
When a squirrel family gets lost while trying to follow the old trail, Lya and Rigobert begin a search filled with clues, decisions, and small challenges. This time, Rigobert must show how much he has learned from his previous adventures: stopping before acting, observing carefully, listening to others, and accepting that he may also be wrong.
During the search, they discover footprints in the mud, a freshly broken branch, nutshells, and a ribbon caught among the thorns. But when the clues seem to point in different directions, Lya and Rigobert must think carefully to discover which one is the right path.
The adventure also brings back old friends from the series. Bruno and the beavers help prepare a safe crossing over the water, while the fireflies light the way home as night begins to fall.
This story is about good judgment, friendship, teamwork, and personal growth. It teaches children that changing does not mean never making mistakes. It means learning from our mistakes and making better choices the next time.
