★ Challenge your friends, and steal the crown! ★
The Lasertag system keeps track of who in your instance has the most points, late joiners and Quest players included.
The blaster keeps score up to 99 points, and having the most points will get you the crown.
Watch out though - anyone could catch up and try to steal it back! Being in joint first with other players will give each of them a glitchy crown, until a true victor is found again.

★ Gesture toggles and accessibility ★
The Shooting Star Blaster comes equipped with iron sights, set up for both Left and Right hand, and Desktop aim!
Pick up the blaster with a 'Finger Gun' gesture, holster it with 'Open Hand', and pull the trigger to shoot. While holding the blaster, you can make a 'Finger Gun' gesture with the opposite hand for a quick switch.

To reload, simply tilt the blaster straight up. The tilt angle is calibrated to work both on Desktop and in VR.
All of these toggles can also be accessed directly through the in-game radial menu.

Customize your look with any initial from the English alphabet and numbers 0-9 for your back panel.
All options and functions are Cross-platform compatible - what you see is what your friends see, no corners cut.
The impact particles match the player color, making it clear who hit (or just missed) you!

★ Stun time and invincibility frames ★
Getting hit by another player stuns you, and gives a few seconds of invincibility so you have time to take cover.
Each player runs the game logic locally, and then synchronizes the result with everyone else. This means that what you see locally, is what you get globally! You get points for the shots you perceive to land, and you lose health only for shots you didn't dodge, no matter what the IK thinks of it. This also means that one point gained does not always equal one HP lost - a party of skilled players can make points while dodging and weaving, keeping the game fair and fun.
Other players can't hit you while stunned, but you also can't shoot at them, so better get moving!
★ A little guy that reacts to your gameplay! ★
The front panel of the Shooting Star vest shows off your remaining HP, and gets increasingly upset with each life you lose.
Be careful! Once you're knocked out, there's no coming back.
★ Make a lucky comeback! ★
You can earn back your HP with some luck and skill; every point you get from hitting another player has a 20% chance of giving you a Lucky Heal!
★ Made with Quest users in mind ★
Every single gameplay feature on the Shooting Star Lasertag System is 100% Quest compatible!
Down to the pixel effect on the scrolling alerts, every part has been made from the ground up, with cross-platform in mind from the very beginning.
That being said, a small pinch of spice had to be left behind for the system to suit the Android platform. These are the differences between the two versions:
- On Quest, the system does not have sound effects, as audio components aren't allowed.
- On Quest, getting a Lucky Heal doesn't make rainbows, and the blaster doesn't have glitter.
- On PC, the max range of the blaster is 100m, and on Quest the max range is 20m. This means that on Quest, you can only hit other players within 20m of range, but other players must also be within 20m to hit you. While PC players can get points from hitting a Quest player outside of range, the Quest player won't lose any health from it.
- On Quest, the crown and hologram straps are solid, as Quest doesn't support true transparency.
- On Quest, the smaller crown doesn't have a visual glitch effect.
- Quest users may experience a very slight delay between firing a shot and seeing the impact. This is due to the projectile having to physically travel the distance, while on PC, the system already knows whether you'll make the shot the moment you pull the trigger. The Quest shot travels with a speed of 30m/s, and the trajectory locks to the world when the shot is fired.
