Bayer’s originator portfolio remains the strategic centre of the landscape, holding 25 retained families and standing as the only owner group represented across all six protection layers. However, the molecule has also attracted extensive follow-on development from UPL, Adama, PI Industries, FMC and numerous Chinese and Indian applicants.

The report retains 78 patent families across 33 consolidated owner groups. Combination development is the largest and most competitive layer, comprising 43 families held by 28 groups, with nine partner active ingredients specifically identified in claims and another 26 families claiming combinations in broader terms.
