This lightweight and airy cowl was originally designed as part of the Lady Dye Yarns / Fab 8 Craft Club Collaboration for Women’s History Month 2019. It takes just one hank of fingering weight yarn and contrasts giant lace eyelets with slanted lacy stripes. Using Lady Dye Yarns’ bestselling colourway Wingaersheek guarantees lots of denim blue and chestnut ‘pops’ on an ecru background. Plus, it’s knitted on a slightly larger needle, so the fabric really opens after steaming, becoming more supple and revealing the lace in all its glory.

For those of you who prefer it, this design would also work well in a solid colour, whether subtle or bright.

Instructions are given in both written and chart form.
