This workshop is all about coming out, inviting in, and the boundaries that support us through this complex choices.

The white-centric, Western narrative of "coming out" has become a powerful touchstone in our current culture. Anyone who deviates from cisgender, straight society is supposedly required to "come out" about their differences, and in doing so, is expected to know exactly who they are and for that self-knowledge to remain fixed. For many folks and for many reasons, the idea of "coming out" simply doesn't work. For others, there may need to be some public or private process of disclosure, but entering into that mindfully (rather than being forced into it) can be a healing act of agency and self-love.

In this workshop, we will cover:

- Coming out as optional

- Not coming out

- The idea of "inviting in"

- Putting together your own bespoke disclosure plan

- Coming out to friends, family, and work

- Navigating boundaries for this process

- Potential trouble spots/challenges

- Q&A
