Salon & Spa Business Profit Tracker
Salon & Spa Business Profit Tracker Excel with service profit per hour, stylist commission and chair rental, retail margin, operating expenses, and a full dashboard. Know what every service, stylist, and shelf actually earns — after product, pay, rent, and the monthly bills.
Built for salon and spa owners who need to know whether the chair is earning its keep — without accounting software. Price a service, pay a stylist, or stock a shelf, and the workbook shows the profit before you commit.
WHAT'S INCLUDED (6 sheets):
- Services — every service: price, product cost, time, profit per service and per hour, and how many times it was done. Service revenue, product cost, and total service profit calculate automatically, with the best service by total profit, by profit per hour, and by profit per service named.
- Stylists and Chair Rental — every stylist: services done, revenue, commission or chair rent, what the stylist takes home, and what the salon keeps. Stylist revenue comes from sheet 1 by formula, and a check row flags it if stylist services do not add up to the services sheet.
- Retail — every retail product: cost, price, margin per unit and margin percent, units sold, revenue, cost, and profit. The best product by profit and the best product by margin are named.
- Expenses — every operating cost: rent, utilities, salon supplies, insurance, marketing, booking software, laundry, cleaning, licenses and permits, and other — monthly and annual, with the largest expense named.
- Dashboard — total revenue, total costs, net profit and margin, revenue mix, best services, best stylists, best retail product, and costs by category.
- Cover and How to Use — start here. Yellow cells are the only ones you edit.

HOW IT WORKS:
1. Download the Excel file instantly after purchase.
2. On sheet 1, enter each service, its price, its product cost, and how long it takes.
3. On sheet 2, enter each stylist, how many services they did, and whether they are on commission or chair rental. Check the services check row — it must read 0.
4. On sheet 3, enter each retail product and how many units sold. On sheet 4, enter each monthly bill.
5. Read the Dashboard weekly. If a service earns less per hour than the chair could earn, reprice it or replace it.
HOW THE MONEY WORKS:
Profit per service is price minus product cost. Profit per hour is profit per service divided by time in minutes, times 60. Stylist revenue is services done times the average service price from sheet 1. A commission stylist is paid a percent of their revenue; a chair-rental stylist pays monthly rent and keeps the rest of their revenue. The salon keeps the commission from commission stylists plus the rent from chair-rental stylists. Net profit is total revenue (services plus retail) minus product cost, stylist pay, retail cost, and operating expenses.
WHO IT'S FOR:
Salon and spa owners, booth and chair-rental salons, and independent stylists who want clean per-service books and a real profit number before they reprice, hire, or stock the shelf.
