Dark Lies the Shadow

Peggy Hall was a native American Cherokee Indian. She wrote the fiction book, Dark Lies the Shadow, to tell the history of the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma. She chose to tell her story from the viewpoint of a young, Cherokee maiden, who came to Oklahoma to marry the love of her life during the most traumatic time period in the history of America's largest Indian tribe.
