i cannot select a different audio input device !?

Hi, yes, in the "Audio" section in the main menu, in the "Sources" tab of the right panel, you can select all available audio sources.

If you want to select a different audio capture library, you can go to "Preferences", "General Options", and in "Audio capture/playback" you can select the library to use. ALSA is the recommendable one for low latency.
