How to speak when recording audio and video.

Here are some of the ideas on the subject by a former radio announcer, narrator, actor, now voice talent.

It really disturbs me when people recording a video ad of instruction or news, or anything, can be heard breathing. sucking air turns me off.

Also, those who just throw their arms around throughout the video is upsetting to me.

Better learn how to use a microphone and hands and arms properly.

I talk about what to do with your hands on you tube and also and breathing to speak and sing right.

A woman named Debbie asked.

" What do you mean about breathing? People do need to take a breath when they speak. Also a lot of people talk with their hands, no matter what setting. We can train our voices to be better, for sure. There is a difference between a pro and an amateur, but even an amateur can learn to improve their delivery. However, the only way to improve is to speak and record. I'd love to see an example of what you mean.

Sure, the deaf, who need to use sign language, use their hands to communicate. But they prove my contention. the use of their hands has a purpose, they aren't just waving their hands around.

Here's an example off singing with no breath sounds:

And here is a recording of speaking without breath sounds:

Included are some word and speaking exercises for you to practice that will help in your pronunciation and diction.

Do them and let the author know when you have and keep practicing and you'll get more listeners, whether on an audio recording, video recording, radio, TV, or just speaking in any situation.

The author shared what he has learned from several places.

You can learn too.
