Great Awakenings

The first Great Awakening started while we were still just colonies, and the others after we had become the United States of America. We will look at the causes of each awakening, the people who were preaching the awakening messages.

We will read the words of George Whitefield, Benjamin Franklin, Charles Finney, Dwight L. Moody, and then sermons from later preachers like Billy Graham, Martin Luther King, Chuck Smith, and finally, Charlie Kirk. Kirk surely was not a preacher, but he brought a great religious message in his time.

Seems like every time we need a kick in the pants, God sends another Great Awakening. When people tell you, we were not founded as a Christian nation; I don't sit quietly and let them win their point because I fear I may be wrong. You see, I have seen and read our founding documents. I know God's truth. So, my comeback to doubters is the same answer Charlie Kirk would give. Prove me wrong!
