After the death of my Uncle Joe, the only living family member I had left, I became an heiress to his mafia empire. An empire that I wanted nothing to do with. Uncle Joe knew that I wanted nothing to do with it, but without an heir of his own, he left it to me. I drown in misery even more when I find out that Uncle Joe requested that I spend six months with Killin before I decide. But will I? Reluctantly, I spend time as requested, and he shows me his world, and I get to relearn him.

I was taught not to endure those, but hurting her, pushing her into the pool, then leaving her was one of the biggest and most hurtful regrets that I have endured and still endure. She doesn’t know this tidbit, but I have watched out for her ever since I could, like an avenging guardian angel in human flesh. But I show her my world, where the scary movies become real in a fun way. Then I find out she’s scared of Chucky, I do what I created Midnight Mass for, I help her stop fearing him. Letting her see that they’re just fictional characters come to life. But there’s one villain whom I can’t make her stop being scared of. One guy from her past has hurt her so deeply. She tells me the trauma he created in her life, but can I protect her from him?
