Jesus spoke, and His voice was clear,

"Beware of the scribes, their hearts insincere.

They walk in long robes, acting like grace,

Marketplace greetings, looking for praise.

Oh, they seek the seats, the highest place,

Banquets and honor, they long to embrace.

But their prayers are long, just for show,

Widows they rob, their judgment will grow.

They take from the weak, the widows' homes,
