The BooTube

The “BooTube” is a digital-video-file delivering a series of spooky or silly “monster heads” that taunt, tease and torment visitors, party-goers, and trick-or-treaters. Forget about only using the typical paper, Styrofoam, and plastic decorations this year – augment them with “high tech,” Disney-worthy visual trickery! This video file can be used in either the simplest or, with a little extra effort and material, most astounding Halloween effects/decorations for your house or haunt. We like to call it “scareware” for computers and digital video players! The video file can be played from a computer (laptop or desktop using on-board video player software) or a video (SD card) player (Amazon Product Links). The image can be left for display on your laptop or computer monitor, or, you can feed the image (using an HDMI cable) into a TV display or monitor. From there, you can simply have the video loop for ambiance during a party at your house, or, you can do amazing tricks. You can do the “Peppers Ghost” effect to make the head seemingly float in the middle of the air. See HOW-TO section for tips and tricks. No one will ever suspect you’re using a TV or monitor to create these effects if you “hide” the TV with the trickery.

The second is a variation of the first where we tilted the image 90 degrees clockwise so that you can turn the TV/monitor to be vertical for “Portrait mode” use in framed effects, This way, the image more completely fills out the area of your display.
