Combining short row shaping with a simple but elegant pattern and neatly concealed decreases, Curvity is a striking hat with unusual construction. Worked in the round and flat (back-and-forth), the pattern maximises the shaping potential of short rows in this non-concentric design.

Sample shown uses Rainbow Heirloom Sweater, in the Jaded colour way.

Notes
Working in the Round / Worked Flat
The hat alternates between being worked in the round and flat (worked back-and-forth) throughout the patterns. Instructions will specify whether it is in the round (rnd) or flat (row). Rnd / row numbers run consecutively through the pattern.

Markers
The pattern uses 5 stitch markers to guide the insertion of the short rows and the decreases, and are referred to throughout the pattern by letter (mB, mC, etc.; mA is the EOR marker). However, on specific rnds 11, 20 and 29, these markers (on specific sizes) will need to be repositioned while knitting to remain in their correct position (totals for the number of sts required between each marker pair is included in the instructions).
