NO PEACE
“No Peace”
No peace in the silence,
No joy in the noise,
I searched for the answers
In treasures and toys.
I ran after pleasure,
I chased every thrill,
But the emptiness echoed,
And lingered there still.
I looked to the world
For meaning and light,
But darkness would find me
Each day and each night.
Then I met Jesus —
And everything changed.
The weight that I carried
Was suddenly rearranged.
Where striving had left me
Restless and torn,
His love brought a peace
Like a calm after storm.
Now pleasure has purpose,
And life has a flame,
For nothing fulfilled me
Until Jesus’ name.
No peace in this world
Could ever increase —
Until I found Him,
