This queen size quilt will cover your bed in blossoms! It features bold, large modern floral blocks made with traditional piecing methods. Use a collection of fabrics in bright colors, or try soft colors to evoke a blooming meadow. Yardage is also listed for making this quilt with fewer colors. The pattern will guide you through making this quilt with diagrams and written instructions.

Fabric Requirements: 

Fabric A (corner square of petals) 1/4 yd

Fabric B (Background)  2 1/4 yds

Fabric C (flower petal) 9 Fat Eighths OR 3/4 yds

Fabric D (flower petal) 9 Fat Eighths OR 3/4 yds

Fabric E (leaves)             9 Fat Quarters - use for both E and F as sets 

Fabric F (leaves)             OR Fabric E - 1 yd 

                                                Fabric F - 2 yds

NOTE: One Fabric E fat quarter can cut enough pieces to make one block with enough fabric left to make the Fabric F pieces for one block as well; you could then use 9 fat quarters total for the combined Fabric E and F pieces, pairing them to make 9 different sets.

Side borders 1 1/4 yds

Top and bottom borders 1 1/4 yds

Binding 3/4 yds

Backing 3 yds of 108" wide back

Batting 104" x 104"
