More Than Friends is a fluffy, short prequel novella to my full-length debut novel, More Than Words. It can be read before or after More Than Words and tells the story of Sam and Ollie's meet-cute and the very beginning of their relationship before the event that changes their lives forever.

Oliver Ellison's day-to-day life isn't that exciting. Beyond his work in the lab and beginning to write his dissertation, he barely has time for much else, especially love. But when he runs into a handsome stranger one morning, he can't seem to get the man's kind smile out of his head. Is he really ready for his whole world to change? 

Sam Reynolds wasn't searching for love when he moved away from Boston to attend grad school at a small university in Kansas. He just wanted to get away from anything that reminded him of his awful, homophobic parents and from a life that felt stifling and unsafe. One morning, however, changes his outlook entirely, and he's suddenly finding himself very, very happy he landed in Kansas.
