Give students a reason for the line on the map. Compare state shapes, investigate political boundaries, evaluate district plans, or have students explain a political map they designed with geographic evidence.

This collection gives you printable activity choices in one consistent format. Use a vocabulary sheet, crossword, or bingo game for selected review. Choose a map investigation, organization project, film guide, or TED reflection when students are ready to apply the concepts. Teacher directions, answer keys, response guides, and rubrics are included where appropriate.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Ten separate activity PDFs plus a three-page start-here and printing guide in one ZIP. There are 139 pages total, including 93 student pages. The count includes 30 different bingo boards, planners, rubrics, optional sheets, teacher directions, keys, and references. It does not mean 93 separate assignments.

TEN ACTIVITY RESOURCES

• Vocabulary Matching: 36 selected terms across six worksheets, with a complete answer key and teaching clarifications.

• Shapes of States: five country records and seven analysis questions, with factual keys, response guidance, and references. Students distinguish a visible shape from claims about how a country functions. An atlas or teacher-approved map sources are needed.

• Lines of Division: 20 boundary research questions across four student sheets, with answers, clarifications, and a linked reference index. Students identify sources and explain geographic connections.

• Political Geography Crossword: 26 entries, a clue sheet, an optional word bank, a completed grid, and a numbered answer guide.

• Political Geography Bingo: 30 different boards and 38 terms, with caller definitions and directions. Multiple winners are possible.

• Redistricting: two map evidence records, eight analysis questions, a 1-2-paragraph reflection, and a 100-point rubric. Students compare district plans using specific maps and data. Teachers supply the selected plan links or permitted map-and-data extracts; those extracts are not included.

• Redrawing the United States: a base map with all 50 states and Washington, DC, an evidence planner, a country register, three justification pages, and a 100-point rubric. Students design 3-6 hypothetical countries and explain geographic choices and tradeoffs. An atlas and research sources are needed to label physical features and support the design.

• United We Stand: ten organization choices, research records, a slide planner, a source/visual log, a reflection planner, and a 100-point rubric. Students prepare an 8-10-minute presentation and a 1-2-page reflection. The task distinguishes international cooperation from delegated supranational authority and requires dated membership evidence.

• Film Viewing Guides: five film sections, each with ten short-response questions, an evidence/synthesis page, and teacher response guidance. Titles are Inside North Korea (Lisa Ling's original 2007 report), The River and the Wall, Once Brothers, Cartel Land, and The Great European Disaster Movie. Films are accessed separately; teachers choose and preview suitable editions or excerpts.

• Political Geography through TED Talks: seven linked choices, three reflection planners, teacher response guidance, extensions, and a 100-point rubric. Students choose three approved talks and write 200-300 words about each in one document. Each reflection connects the talk to Unit 4 concepts and explains a supported personal insight. Videos and transcripts are accessed separately.

BEFORE ASSIGNING THE MEDIA TASKS

This purchase supplies teaching guides, not films, clips, TED videos, transcripts, or media licenses. Preview the selected edition, mature content, captions, school-network access, and screening permissions before assigning it. Some films, especially Cartel Land, include mature themes. Choose films, excerpts, or accessible talk options that suit your class. The film guides are not a guarantee of a free stream or classroom screening rights.

MAPS, SOURCES, AND PREPARATION

Map and research tasks need an atlas, credible dated sources, or teacher-prepared evidence. Redistricting uses two existing district plans through Dave's Redistricting or teacher-provided extracts; the packet does not supply those maps or statistics. Redrawing the United States includes its own base map, but not a physical-feature atlas or cultural/economic source collection. United We Stand includes starting links; membership and other current claims need dated verification. Research source sets and a ready-made presentation deck are not included.

FORMAT AND PRINTING

Printable PDFs in a ZIP file; U.S. Letter, 8.5 x 11 inches. Unzip the download and open the PDFs in a standard PDF reader. Start with Actual Size / 100%; use Fit if your printer clips the edges. Student pages are grayscale. The start-here guide lists student print ranges and teacher pages so you can choose what to copy. Bingo needs counters or a pencil. These are printable files, not editable templates or fillable digital worksheets.

CHECK BEFORE BUYING

If you previously purchased the Social Studies Hub Unit 4 activities collection or a full Unit 4 bundle on TPT, many underlying activities overlap. This is a revised edition, not an entirely new set. Compare the contents with what you already own.

This is an activities bundle. Slides, guided notes, a study guide, and an exam are not included. The collection is selected practice rather than exhaustive coverage of every Unit 4 objective, a complete curriculum, or a set of official AP exam questions.

USE AND SUPPORT
