In a world transformed by a pandemic, Genetic Engineering dominates, and time travel is a vital necessity.

Join an unexpected hero on a mission beyond imagination where science and God's plan intertwine across Italy through the ages, and discover a future where every moment is a leap into the unknown.

Jay's career as a time-traveling DNA thief teeters on the brink of disaster. With a knack for botching missions and a series of failed heists behind him, Jay's future looks bleak. His last hope? An enigmatic individual from the past, possessing unusual genes that could be Jay's ticket to redemption.

Amidst this turmoil, Jay's sentient ship – helmed by a captain with a rebellious agenda – threatens their very existence. The captain's audacious plan to fold the stream of time, aiming to reunite with a long-lost love, could unravel the fabric of reality, endangering the Collective and everyone aboard. As the clock ticks perilously, Jay is thrust into a race against time to thwart catastrophe, navigate uncharted emotional territories, and reclaim his standing with the powerful Administration.

Set in the backdrop of Venice through the ages, The Time Folder melds time travel science fiction with genetic engineering, Italian culture, history, and lost love into part one of this captivating series.

Reader's Reviews:

"A pleasant combination of plausible science fiction and an old-fashioned love story. I like it when a book surprises me with its plot and that was certainly the case with Time Lies. Neither the science fiction nor the love story played out as I had expected, but the story elements all weaved together into a delightful thought-provoking conclusion. The characters are believable, diverse, and likable. The science fiction elements were especially fun to read. I was reminded of the types of spaceships and crews of such movies as Alien and Prometheus, scaled way down and brought to Earth, landing in lakes and lagoons, reminiscent of the ship in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea." "I absolutely loved this book! Great story, well thought-out and developed characters, and incredible detail in the storytelling. I do most of my reading at night while in bed and typically only read about 10-15 minutes before falling asleep ... this book kept me up and I couldn't put it down! Highly, highly, recommended!!!! Can't wait for Book 2. Note: Italy is now on our vacation list."

"This is a “clean” read with no offensive language or elements. Short chapters move the story along briskly and help keep the various eras and viewpoints from becoming confusing."

The most fascinating character was Alice, the android avatar of the EOS AI. The author has infused her character with human emotions that create internal conflict accounting for her ambiguous relationship with Jay. All in all, a slick well done thriller with an intriguing premise.

"I enjoyed this book a lot. The characters feel three dimensional. The action flows naturally. The main protagonist is bound to make mistakes, he does so often, but not so much that you get the wrong impression. He's just a regular guy trying hard to complete his mission. Another plus for me was the futuristic tech, since it's not perfect and its flaws present challenges to the protagonist, and help the action move along. I recommend this read. You don't have to be a Sci Fi buff to enjoy it. I will certainly read the next installment on the series."

"Couldn’t put it down!! really enjoyed this book. It was an engaging page turner. The characters were easy to connect to and the Italian setting made me long to visit! This book was thought provoking and caused me to consider the ethical consequences and very real possibilities of the not so futuristic advancements in artificial intelligence. I do hope a sequel is in the works!"
