Callitris is a dream knit for the warmer weather. Its minimalist aesthetic with simple details means it can be easily thrown on with your favourite pair of shorts or jeans, or it would look equally lovely tucked into a skirt. The sleeve and body stitches are increased at different rates along the raglan seams of the t-shirt for a perfect fit, and the length of the sleeves and body are easily customised to your own individual preference.

Yardage amounts do not include the yarn that you will additionally require for swatching.

Please note that using a non-superwash yarn, like the base recommended, and wearing it next to skin can result in your knitted fabric felting at areas of high friction (such as the underarms) after multiple wears.

It is recommended that you alternate skeins throughout your project to ensure an even distribution of colour, particularly if you are using hand dyed yarn.

NOTES
– Callitris is worked seamlessly from the top down. Stitches for the back, fronts, sleeves and raglan seams are cast on first and worked flat. When the neckline increases are completed, the fronts are joined and the raglan shaping is worked in the round from thereon in. Then, when all of the remaining increases are completed, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold, stitches are cast on at the underarm points, and the body and hem of the t-shirt are worked separately in the round to the desired length. Each set of sleeve stitches is then returned one at a time to the needles, with stitches picked up and knit at the underarms, and the sleeves and cuffs are worked in the round to the desired length. Lastly, stitches are picked up and knit at the neckline and the neckband is added in the round.

– You can customise the length of the t-shirt body, hem, sleeves and cuffs by simply working them to your desired length. However, please note that any adjustments will affect your yardage requirements.
