π Understanding Feelings (Ages 5β8)
Help your child begin building the foundations of emotional awareness in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate way.
In this session, children learn that all feelings are normal and begin exploring different emotions, body clues and early self-awareness skills. Through discussion, activities and a practical wellbeing tool, children learn to recognise feelings, understand that emotions can change, and discover simple ways to help their body feel calm and settled.
Children will explore:

π Different types of emotions
π How feelings can show up in the body
π How feelings can grow from small to big
π Simple calming strategies
Emotions explored include happiness, worry, anger, sadness, excitement, frustration and calm.

Children create their own Feelings Thermometer to help them identify emotions, understand emotional intensity and communicate their feelings more easily.
