The Equation for Unity

This book is written from the perspective of the many voices we hear, listen to, and sometimes overlook as we seek clarity, hope, and acceptance. We are ultimately seeking love and peace within ourselves and others to push past our hidden insecurities and the fears from the pain we see in the world around us. No one was born to be alone or separated because we are born with a sense of belonging that unites us. Why do we often overlook someone hurting when we know how it feels to be hurt? Why do we ignore people who are in pain when we know how pain feels? Why do we turn a blind eye to injustice when we have experienced injustice or unfair circumstances? We all want to be heard; we want to be seen; we want to be understood by not just those we love but by those we connect to. Ultimately, we are all connected in love as we seek to understand and be understood because we were created with LOVE in mind, not HATE!

The authors featured in “The Equation for Unity” tap into various emotions in their poems, allowing readers to see the world through their eyes from different yet similar viewpoints. Three generations of poets come together to enable readers to look through the lenses of multiple eras to catch a glimpse of the various trials they have encountered throughout their lifetime. A grandfather, daughter, and granddaughter share a common goal of spreading the message of the importance of love and unity. These poems are messages of hope to inspire this generation and the next generation to make and leave this world a better place by digging deep within to search for what we all long to receive: UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!
