Synesthesia Socks
The Synesthesia Socks are part of my Synesthesia design collection, created to echo the motifs and rhythm of the Synesthesia Pullover.
I enjoy extending a single design language across multiple garments—pullover, vest, hat, and now socks—so the motif becomes a cohesive, wearable family of patterns.
For this sock version, I used a small amount of leftover hand-dyed yarn for the cuff detail, paired with the main color from the pullover design for the body of the sock. This makes it a great project for using precious leftovers in a meaningful, intentional way.
The pattern is beginner-friendly stranded colorwork worked cuff-down. It uses only two colors, with a short, manageable colorwork section. After completing the cuff, the rest of the sock transitions into simple stockinette, allowing knitters to focus on shaping, fit, and comfortable rhythm.
This design is intentionally approachable for knitters who are new to stranded socks and want a gentle introduction without overwhelming colorwork demands.
