Jindabyne is a garter stitch crescent shawl featuring a chevron lace stitch pattern. The shawl was created using Alpaca 4 ply, a soft and rustic alpaca fingering yarn, from Adagio Mills.

Yarn Requirements
Approximately 490 yards/448 metres of fingering/sock/4 ply yarn.

Shown in Adagio Mills Alpaca 4 ply (100% Australian alpaca fingering yarn; 175 yards/160 metres per 50 grams), in Sonata, 3 balls.

Needles & Notions
6 US/4 mm circular needle, 32 inches/80 cm or longer (to accommodate the large number of stitches);
Stitch marker (optional).

Gauge
17 stitches and 34 rows per 4 inches/10 cm in garter stitch (blocked).
Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.

Finished Measurements
Wingspan across top 74 inches/188 cm;
Depth 18.5 inches/47 cm after blocking.

Techniques Used/Skills Required
Garter tab cast-on, increases, lace knitting.
The pattern instructions are fully written out and, for those who prefer to work from charts, a chart for the lace section is also included.
