Rainy day socks

The Rainy Day Socks came about from the love of a favourite mug. Finding the right fit and design for my tea/coffee gives me a little spark of joy in the everyday. Socks are a bit like that for me too and finding the right pair of socks can brighten even the rainy days.

These socks are knit top down in the round with a colourwork section on the leg and a simple lace section on the foot.

To fit size; women’s US 4 -6 (7-9, 10-12) [EU 35-37 (38-40, 41-43)]

YARN
Hedgehog Fibres Sock (90% merino / 10% nylon,   437 yards / 400 metres, 100 grams): 1 ball of each  dove (A) and wish (B)

NEEDLES
One 32” (80cm) long circular needle US 1.5 (2.5mm) or one set of double-pointed needles (dpns) size US 1.5 (2.5mm)
One 32” (80cm) long circular needle US 2.5 (3mm) or one set of double-pointed needles (dpns) size US 2.5 (3mm)
Adjust needle size if necessary to achieve gauge.
