Welcome to, perhaps the most comprehensive database of slide shows on the subject of history, and published by a single person. Anders Dernback does not run this project as a company and eighty percent of everything that can be downloaded is free of charge. Anders makes his slide shows with a design that resembles picture books, a mixture of text and images.
You do not need a speaker, or teacher to talk and inform about the pictures, you do not have that when reading a picture book either. Slide shows teach more effectively than books with only text. Already over 40,000 years ago there were slide shows painted in caves located in Indonesia. The pictures showed a hunt for wild boar. During the Middle Ages, literacy among the population was quite poor, and the Church and its congregation, who wanted to spread the word of God, had works of art painted that were hung or painted as murals in the church, and near the pulpit. Here, pictures from biblical events were shown. Books that were handwritten and also had illustrations were expensive. The price dropped when Gutenberg's printing press came on the market. But for poor people, books were still too expensive.
The church's artwork remained and many paintings remain in churches today. They function as slideshows. Imagine how effective it was to be able to spread a message for many hundreds of years and at a low cost.
Power Point, which came on the market as a computer program in the mid-1980s, improved communication with images and text.
Anders Dernback has made several thousand slideshows and the Payhip database contains over two thousand slideshows. Here they have been divided into different categories.

Viewers come mostly from North America. But also from Australia and New Zealand.
Look how easy it is to browse to selected slideshows that you want to download.
If you have chosen to download a free slideshow, PDF files are downloaded to your computer.
The database functions like an online store. There are secure payments here and it only takes a minute to download a file.Often a slideshow is 20 to 30 pages and that gives a lot of pages in total per 1,000 slideshows. Simply 20,000 to 30,000 pages. Downloading a slideshow is easy.
The database has not had any advertising, but it is searchable on the Internet. The number of visitors is currently 110,000 per six months.
Interestingly, some slideshows have been filmed and there is a narration voice.
There are also audiobooks and films. Feel free to try looking around the database and downloading some free slideshows. Add to cart and pay nothing, click and download.
Good luck and have a good read!
