Zero to Story
Zero to Story is a 21-day course that takes you through the fundamentals of writing, before guiding you through writing a flash fiction piece and a short story.
Here’s what you’ll cover:
Week 1: Fundamentals of Fiction – Ideas, Characters, Plot, Setting, Point of View, Narrative, and Dialogue
Week 2: Writing Flash Fiction – Developing your idea, planning your story, writing, editing, flash fiction competitions.
Week 3: Writing a Short Story – Short story structure, crafting your short story, rewriting, and editing.
You can work through the course at your own pace, so if you want to take longer than 21 days, that’s fine! To finish within the 21 days, you’ll need around 15-30 minutes per day during weeks one and two, and around 30–60 minutes per day during week three.
You also get:
#1: A short “Get Ready to Write” guide
This quick guide is designed to help you get set up for Zero to Story, so you can make the most of the course. If you’re feeling like you need to get organise or you’re not quite ready to start, give it a read!
#2: A printable Zero to Story checklist for the course
Keep track of where you’ve got to in the course by checking off your progress in the Zero to Story tracker: you can print it or use it on your computer. (It’s especially helpful if you’re tackling the course faster/slower than the suggested 21 days.)
