Since she was a young girl, Journei Amerie Mahone had dreamed of dancing to her heart’s content. However, following her mother’s untimely death, her father’s insistence on other priorities forced Journei to suppress her dancing aspirations, seeing them as merely a hobby. He encouraged her to pursue a degree in medicine, instilling in her the belief that a career in dance is simply out of the question. Despite these pressures, Journei finds solace in the passion she has for dance, her relationship with God and teaching dance classes at the Lola Academy. Her life changes when she’s asked to choreograph routines for her best friend at Club Paradise, Atlanta’s hottest members-only strip club for the criminally wealthy. Once she is a part of the community things spiral into something she never imagined. Journei watches her life become a rollercoaster of unforeseen twists and turns.

These events blindside Journei, turning her world upside down when she collides with Ontario Amir Santiago, the suave son of Paradise club owners, Jonathan and Alicia Santiago. They summon Ontario home to Creekwood in Atlanta, GA for grooming to succeed his father as head of the family’s criminal organization. He quickly becomes captivated by Journei after their first encounter at Paradise. However, known for his ruthless reputation in the streets, Ontario changes in ways he never expected. He realizes his newfound desire to step away from a life of crime the more he becomes intrigued by the magnetic pull he shares with his unexpected love interest. Unfortunately, walking away from the crown isn’t always an option when you’re the only heir to the throne.
