This e-booklet is not written to condemn people. It is written to awaken believers. There is a difference between loving people and embracing everything that surrounds us. Jesus called His followers to be in the world, but not of the world. We are called to carry the light of Christ into darkness without allowing that darkness to become the governing influence over our hearts.
The apostle Paul declared:
"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord."
— 2 Corinthians 6:17
Those words deserve our attention.
Coming out requires a decision.
Separation requires courage.
Holiness requires surrender.
Obedience requires sacrifice.
And following Jesus Christ requires us to understand that there is a price to pay.
The Christian life was never presented by Jesus as a pathway of convenience. He instructed His disciples to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him. That means there will be moments when following Christ requires us to surrender what we want for what God desires.
- There may be relationships we must reconsider.
- There may be environments we must leave.
- There may be habits we must abandon.
- There may be attitudes that must be crucified.
- There may be ambitions that must be surrendered.
- There may be voices we must stop listening to.
- There may be doors we must walk away from.
And there may be seasons when obedience makes us feel as though we are standing alone.
But standing with Christ is never truly standing alone.

Have I become so comfortable with the values of this present world that I can no longer recognize where compromise has entered my walk with God?

The world desperately needs believers whose lives testify that Jesus Christ is Lord.
So, beloved, this is the hour to awaken.

- Come out of compromise.
- Come out of spiritual complacency.
- Come out of divided allegiance.
- Come out of whatever continually pulls your heart away from God.
> And come closer to Jesus.
> The road may cost you something.
But following Christ is worth the cost.

The call has gone forth.
