This Yayoi Kusama Christmas Ornament Art Project guides students through creating bright hanging baubles covered in repeating dot patterns inspired by Kusama's iconic style. Students paint a soft pink background, create large ornament shapes on separate paper, cut and glue them onto the page, then finish with bold dotted pattern work.

It is a holiday art lesson that teaches real art concepts: pattern, repetition, line, shape and mixed media. The pink background, teal green ornaments, yellow tops and black dots make a cheerful December hallway display or homeschool portfolio piece.
