St Patricks Day Activity Finish the Picture Creativity Challenges Fast Finishers
This St Patrick’s Day Finish the Picture resource gives students partly started St Patrick’s Day themed drawings to complete with their own ideas. Students continue the image, fill the page, and then color or shade the finished artwork. It is a low-prep, print and go seasonal resource for classroom teachers, art teachers, substitute teachers and homeschool families.
Because the pages are open-ended, students can take the same starting point in completely different directions. Leprechauns, shamrocks, rainbows, hats, clouds and pots of gold give them plenty to work with, and the finished pictures can be playful, detailed or whimsical depending on the student.

HOW TO USE IT
For a quick St Patrick’s Day drawing activity, students can complete one page in a single class. For a fuller St Patrick’s Day art lesson, students can add extra details and backgrounds, try crayons, colored pencils, markers, watercolor, oil pastels or mixed media, and complete several pages over time.
As they turn a partial image into a complete composition, students practice imagination, creative thinking, visual problem solving and artistic decision making. The pages also work as a fast finisher activity, bell ringer, sub plan, drawing warm-up, brain break or art center task.
