The Late Sunset Shawl is a celebration of California’s stunning sunsets. Even after the sun drifts below the horizon, it leaves behind a dazzling display of reds, oranges, pinks and purples to dance among the clouds above your head. Light gray waves of lace repeat throughout the shawl to represent these clouds while 5 vibrant hues make up strips of garter, lace, and two-color brioche. Drape this triangular wrap around your shoulders as you enjoy your next sunset viewing.

This shawl is knit in a triangular shape from the top-down, beginning with a garter tab cast on at the top center of the shawl and working outwards. A garter border frames either end of the shawl. Increases happen every RS row on each end and on either side of the center spine stitch. Repeats of garter, lace, and two-color brioche sections are knit using 5 different mini skeins, alternating with sections of wave lace using 1 main color to tie it all together.
