A digital copy of Strange Freedom: a zine by Mercy Thokozane Minah 'intimacy & liberation' Vol.1

Strange Freedom is a zine idea I’ve been toying with for much of this year. I finally found the bridge between ideation and implementation for creating it while working on the theme ‘Intimacy & liberation’ over the course of the past two months. Right now, Strange Freedom exists as another way for my work to be accessed long-term. I will be creating zines out of the many themes and motifs explored in my work, some will be a collation of monthly posts from my Patreon, and others will simply be from the archive. It has taken a long time to recognize the cultural importance of the work I make, and I intend to remedy that by keeping it accessible and exploring as many avenues as possible to share and document it. Because I also want to continue to live off the work I create, some aspects of it – like this zine – will continue to be sold. There are hundreds of pieces to engage for free, via social media, and condensed versions of my conceptual writing available there as well. Thank you for your support!
