Jean’s Jacket is simple, practical cardigan with delicate feminine details. The marled blue color reminds me of the denim jackets that were so popular in the 1980s, and the tight twist of a sock yarn gives this cardigan the same rugged durability.

The cardigan is worked from the top down beginning with the collar. The back and shoulders are increased at different rates to create a curved shoulder line, while the neck is shaped with short rows using the German Short Row method.

The front bands are worked with the body of the cardigan and buttonholes are worked into the pattern. Sleeves are worked in the round from underarm to cuff and the lace pattern on sleeves and body is transitioned into ribbing.
