The Ballad of Malik Blayne

Omega Station is built in layers. The rich live in domes on the airless surface, with every luxury. The middle class live in the upper levels near the surface. The poor live far below the surface of the planet, stacked level by level toward the molten core that keeps the whole place alive. Everything useful flows upward. Everything else flows downward. In the lower levs, the rules only apply when it’s convenient for the people above.
