Halloween Craft Frankenstein Craft and Write Writing Prompts and Sub Plans
This Frankenstein Craft and Write resource combines a hands-on Frankenstein craft with Frankenstein-themed writing prompts for elementary students. Students design and build their own Frankenstein character from templates, then write about it through fiction, non-fiction or opinion writing.
The craft style is inspired by the Ms Artastic YouTube Channel. It works for fall and Halloween lessons, homeschool, and sub plans, since the teacher guide, lesson plan and PowerPoint step-by-step make it easy for a substitute to follow.

WHAT STUDENTS LEARN
Students explore fiction, non-fiction and opinion writing through 8 differentiated writing prompts, building their ability to tell stories, share facts and back up their opinions with reasons. Designing their Frankenstein character also builds fine motor skills through cutting, coloring and assembling.
The differentiated writing pages make the resource adaptable for different writing levels, and the craft elements let students make their own choices, so every Frankenstein looks different.
