The Dress Code for the Muslim Women by Imam Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani (d. 1420H)

The Dress Code for the Muslim Woman began as a heartfelt gift from the renowned hadith scholar Muhammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī to a dear friend who requested him to clarify the Islamic dress of Muslim women. As his friend's wedding approached, Shaykh al-Albānī decided to hasten his response to him and begin writing a treatise on the topic as a wedding gift, hoping to provide clear guidance according to the Quran and the Sunnah. Drawing upon the Qur'an, authentic hadith, and the understanding of the early scholars, Sheikh al-Albānī examines the conditions of proper hijab and addresses the long-standing discussion surrounding the niqab (face veil), presenting the evidences for his view that covering the face is recommended but not obligatory.
