Practical Life & Survival Skills: Raising Capable Adults
Traditional schools have largely reduced their
focus on Home Economics and Shop Class, but these are skills that can
help determine whether a child is prepared to manage their own life as
an adult. Alongside academics like history and math, we believe there's
real value in teaching practical, real-world skills. The Independence Lab
isn't a chore chart—it is a training ground. From washing dishes safely
to changing a flat tire on the side of the road, we want to help our
children build practical confidence for running their own lives.
