Why is knowledge of the nervous system so important and revolutionary?

This cours will change your perspection of most situations with horses!

The bond, good cooperation and well-being of horses require taking care of the nervous system of both the human and the horse.

Taking into account the nervous system (both yours and the horse's) is meant to prepare you for good and safe contact with horses. Regardless of whether you own horses, ride competitively or recreationally, this course forms the foundation for your relationship with horses.

In the course, I discuss the three fundamental states of the nervous system and how they affect tension in horses, their tuning to humans, and the construction of a strengthening bond with humans. This course is for anyone who interacts with horses. It is intended for horsemen, horse owners, riders, trainers, and horse enthusiasts.

A calm nervous system means safety

Knowledge about the nervous system helps to better understand the nuances in stressful situations for horses and their natural mechanisms, such as bucking, bolting, biting, kicking or minor relational misunderstandings. Thanks to a broader perspective, you can anticipate some situations and prevent them.

But Wait a Minute... What You'll Learn and When You'll Need These Skills

Fight, flight, fawn, freeze - these are the "cut-off" from contact states of the nervous system

You will learn how to seek out what is relaxing for your horse and what deepens trust and understanding. You will be better able to recognize when your horse feels safe with you and when it doesn't.This knowledge also translates into better overall care for the horse's biology and physiology.

Regulation that reduces tension

Recognizing a horse's stress state and acting appropriately in such situations does not apply to some exceptional events, but to every micro-situation and our micro-response toit, or its absence.

You can act consciously to help horses better regulate themselves, so they can be relaxed and have free, resilient movement.

Movement that involves engagement and joy

Knowledge about co-regulation and self-regulation (of both horses and humans) and its application is the foundation for the horse to feel safe with us and to be more engaged. This helps to derive joy from mutual contact, instead of getting frustrated thinking, for example, that "the horse is disobedient."

Hi, I'm Agata Wiatrowska

Horses have been and continue to be my life's purpose and calling. I have done many things related to them: I was a horse riding instructor and equine therapist, I completed horse breeding and equestrian training, ran my own stable, bred three foals, worked as a groom for three years for the world champion Christoph Sandmann four-in-hand carriage driving, and took care of his horses. I met my closest friends through horses.

In 2005, I discovered the possibility of human development through contactwith horses at Gerhard and Karin Krebs' Horse Dream and, fascinated by this approach, introduced Horse Assisted Education to Poland (more about this on my website: www.horsesense.pl). A significant milestone was a two-year training course (online and in person) with the one-of-a-kind Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling.

Since 2006, I have been helping people build conscious lives - with access to their strength and joy. I conduct developmental programs based on contact with horses, without whose supportive presence I wouldn't be where I am today. In 2018, I opened my own development center, HorseSense (more about this on my website: www.horsesense.pl). I constantly delve into the mysteries of horses, as I believe that we, as humans, still know little about them.Currently accompanying me in this endeavor are Fregata, Szaman, Empatia, Django, and Anyż, with whom I live and whom I see from my window. There is not a month that goes by without them surprising me in some way....

Attention! This course is NOT for you if...

... you expect absolute obedience and subordination from the horse and do not want to think about why the horse behaved in a certain way and how you can change the situation. If after reading the description, you still don't feel that these topics can be important when interacting with horses, this is not the path for you, at least not now...

What's inside the course HERD

  • There are 3 modules (the essence of knowledge and practical guidance).
  • The recordings not only contain theory but also practical examples from the lives of various horses and people, along with problem solutions and proposals I suggest for what you can do to help horses regulate themselves and function better.
  • The modules are accessible immediately, and you can revisit them multiple times throughout the year.
  • The modules reside on the platform, to which you'll receive a login and password. You can access the material via computer, phone, and tablet.
  • While the program focus on horses, the crux of it lies in the enrichment of your knowledge and self-awareness. It is designed for horse enthusiasts, horse owners, riders, and professionals in the equestrian field - instructors, trainers, equine therapists, therapists, and facilitators. Even if you currently don't own horses or have access to them, this program can greatly enhance your understanding of various equine situations and help you react more adequately.
