There once was a pony who did not have a home. She lived in a wide open pasture, all alone.

She asks a frog, a bird, and another pony to be her friend. Each one says no.

Then she hears a strange giggling in the grass. A little girl asks the lonely pony to be her friend. The pony wants to say yes — but she has heard no too many times, and she is afraid.
