With this cozy sweater, there is no need to hide, especially with handsome braid cables winding up the fronts. Edged with thick bands of garter stitch, the buttonbands flow into the shawl collar.

Body is worked back and forth. Sleeve cuffs are worked back and forth then joined in the round to the underarm. Body and sleeves are joined together and worked back and forth to form yoke.

Materials
Yarn: Black Water Abbey 2-ply Worsted, Worsted weight: 100% wool; 220 yards/100 g skein. Colorway: Bracken. 5 (6, 6, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins.
Needles: US7 (4.5 mm) 40-inch (101.5 cm) circular needle and set of DPNs (or preferred method for working small circumferences for sleeves). Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain gauge.
