The nineteenth mansion
Far from the concerns of the nearest village, Younès and Afifa raise a herd of goats. The goatherds lead a peaceful life, were it not that with every birth Afifa loses her baby.. Despite this cruel fate, they remain faithful to their duty, tending their flock across a semi-arid steppe. Alas, the herd dwindles away to nothing, lacking the young does needed to bring new kids into the world. And so Younès makes up his mind to take the track leading towards greener pastures, where a wild herd of goats is said to roam. But fate is never far behind, always ready to reshuffle its cards.
