WUTHERING HEIGHTS

Wuthering Heights — A New Version of the Novel by Emily Brontë, by Juan Coss

High on a Yorkshire moor, battered by every wind, stands a house called Wuthering Heights. One night a nameless boy arrives there, picked up from the streets of Liverpool. They call him Heathcliff. And Catherine Earnshaw, the wild daughter of the house, loves him more than her own soul.

But Catherine marries someone else. Heathcliff vanishes on a stormy night. Years later he returns rich and changed, determined to take revenge on everyone who humiliated him… and on their children.

The fiercest love story in literature, retold in modern, flowing language. It stays faithful to the original novel and includes the second generation that many versions leave out. For readers who never dared to try the classic, and for those who want to return to it.

A version by Juan Coss, based on the work of Emily Brontë. 20 chapters · 102 pages.
