From Luay’s Kitchen: A Palestinian Recipe Book
From Luay’s Kitchen: A Palestinian Recipe Book 🇵🇸 (Digital Download)
Luay is a young Palestinian man from Gaza. Since losing his family home, he has been living in a tent, where survival is a daily challenge. With flour now costing up to $40 a kilo, even the simplest meals have become out of reach.
To support him, I created From Luay’s Kitchen - a digital Palestinian recipe book celebrating dishes like hummus, shakshuka, maamoul, and knafeh. 100% of proceeds go directly to Luay.
What's inside:
Traditional recipes including:
- Hummus
- Shakshuka
- Maamoul & knafeh (sweet pastries)
These are Luay’s own recipes, reflecting the food his family has cooked for generations.
🇵🇸 All proceeds go directly to Luay via PayPal. Because of banking restrictions in Gaza, only around half of each payment reaches him. To make sure he receives at least £5 per copy, the minimum price is set at £10, with the option to pay more if you wish.
How your payment reaches Luay:
Payments are routed through a trusted PayPal, then securely converted into cryptocurrency so Luay can use the funds locally to buy food and essentials. This method is necessary as Gaza currently has no working banks or ATMs.
Thank you for helping keep Palestinian food and culture alive, and for standing in solidarity with Luay and his family. For updates on Luay’s progress and to see how your support helps him directly, follow him on Instagram: @luay.h.jal
