I have never actually eaten a Crumbl cookie.

But I have seen them online, the giant size, the thick shape, the perfect round edges, the generous toppings. And I thought: I could make that. I could make something that looks just like that, but with my own twist.

So I took my master brown butter dough, the nutty, toasty, soft and chewy base I have made a hundred times and I folded in generous chunks of KitKat. I rolled the dough into tall balls, froze them for exactly one hour, and baked them until the edges were golden and the centers soft and puffy. Then came the best part: a swirl of warm Nutella on top, with even more chopped KitKat pressed right in.

The result? Giant, thick, loaded cookies that look like they came from a bakery.
