Marafado

Marafado shawl is shaped like an elongated triangle and is very easy to style, giving a touch of elegance to your outfit, either casual or formal.

The body of the shawl combines star stitch with stockinet making it interesting to knit and allowing you to do some social knitting.

When you start the whimsical lace border it requires all your attention, no distractions are allowed.

After some rows, however, you can relax and enjoy the process and the delicate lace with a subtle texture emerging from your needles.

Pick up two skeins of your favourite your yarn and get ready to cast on!

Yarn: Malabrigo Mechita, 2 skeins; or: about 750 to 800 meters (820 to 874 yds) of your favourite fingering weight yarn

Size: 200 cm x 70 cm / 78,5” x 28”

Needles: 4,5 mm / US 7 (or other suitable to obtain gauge)

Gauge (not relevant, but will change de final size): 31 rows and 22 sts = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” (stockinette stitch, relaxed after blocking)
