Up and Down and All Around

It’s impressive the designs one can get with relatively simple patterns of knit and purl. In this case, I alternated which direction chevrons point—up or down—and tiled them all around for additional effect. The cowl may be worn as a long loop, or doubled for additional snuggliness.

This cowl is a companion to another that I also designed in Anzula’s For Better or Worsted, Here and There and Everywhere.

5ft / 1.54m loop circumference by 6in / 15cm wide

• 2 skeins Anzula For Better or Worsted (80% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 200yd / 183m to 4.02oz / 114g), Colorway: Prudence OR 385-400yd / 352-366m worsted weight yarn.
• 1 set size US7 / 4.5mm circular needles, 40in / 102cm long
• 1 stitch marker
• Tapestry needle
