In this charcoal drawing, I wanted to capture the quiet intensity of a leopard suspended between stillness and motion. The piece focuses on a single moment: the predator looking back of its shoulder, aware, deliberate, and ready. Charcoal allows me to emphasize both the softness of shadow and the sharpness of form, echoing the tension between calm observation and the explosive energy that will follow. This work reflects my fascination with the power of pause the way nature holds its breath just before instinct takes over.
